Fusion Catering for Sports Enthusiasts in Penang
We are always excited about catering services at a sports-centric establishment. Guests would step in with a big appetite, and we at Catering Penang Dotcom offer some of the best and filling food. This time, Penang Sports Club was no exception.
The management’s request was simple: “A delicious, hearty spread that all ages would enjoy.” Say no more!
The highlight of the menu was Grilled Lamb, served with condiments, as well as Black Pepper Chicken. These meat dishes have been perennial favourites with our Penang Catering Services. Packed with a bold flavour profile, it gets the taste buds alive. We were also tasked to ensure a variety of staple foods to begin with – Bihun Singapura, Kampung Fried Rice and Seafood Spaghetti.
Balance of Savoury and Sweet Options for the Catering Menu
What’s more, the catering menu had more local and international fusion to cater to different preferences and dietary requirements. Think of Fillet Fish Salad, Nestum Fried Prawns with Curry Leaves, and sweet treats like Nyonya Kuih and Chocolate Moist Cake. We loved seeing the younger ones hopping back to get more bites of Kuih Kaya – one of the bite-sized kuihs. Yes, the crowd loved the symphony of Malaysian and Western flavours under one roof.
Of course, no Catering Penang Dotcom buffet is complete without our action stalls. These pop-up kitchens added a touch of theatre to the dining area, filling the air with irresistible aromas. As the wok sizzled and smoke curled up from our Char Koay Teow, we could see guests turning their heads — “We should get that too!” And who could blame them? Stir-fried with soy sauce, prawns, fish cakes, eggs, and bean sprouts, it was Penang street flavour brought right to their table.

We also arranged a 20-pax vegetarian catering, comprising fried rice and pasta for those vegetarian attendees. They paired them with Garden Salad with Thousand Island and sliced fruits. Gathering customer feedback is always our priority, and we are glad that everyone loved the food. The standouts were Char Koay Teow action stall, Grilled Lamb and Fillet Fish Salad. As an effort to reduce plastic wastage, we opted for sugarcane disposable plates and paper cups from Green Eco Paradise.
